“Towards High Quality in KA1 Mobility Projects for School Education Staff – a dialogue between national Agencies and Course Providers”
ETIBlog.News.Teacher TrainingFranco Debono (Director General) and Sandra Attard-Montalto (Director of Academic Development & Training) have just returned from an Erasmus + conference in Cologne. The was the 2nd conference organized by the Pädagogischer Austauschdienst (PAD), the German National Agency for Erasmus +. The forum was another opportunity for training providers and National Agencies to keep up the dialogue to ensure a smooth application and fulfillment of the Erasmus+ KA 1 –Staff Mobility Training activities.
Most National Agencies in Europe were represented, including the Maltese NA – EUPA.
The conference dealt mainly with Quality Courses for CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Staff Mobility Projects. It also addressed issues which had arisen in 2014 when Erasmus + was first launched. Discussion groups recommended a number of changes to provide a smoother Erasmus + process.
Also presented at the conference was a new database of course providers called School Education Gateway (SEG). Although still in its initial stages, this portal will allow schools and educational institutions to search for courses which will complement and address their projects.
Recommendations were made to set up an Association which will bring together all IST ( In-Service Training) Providers . The association will represent ISTPs with experience in the provision of courses and training programmes and those who will apply a quality charter in the running of mobility training programmes.
